Maine Minimum Wage Increase: Starting January 2025

Starting January 1, 2025, Maine’s minimum wage will increase from $14.15 to $14.65 per hour. This adjustment follows a 2016 citizens’ initiative that ties wage increases to inflation through the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The Maine Department of Labor reviewed CPI data in 2024 and determined a 50-cent increase for 2025 to reflect rising living costs.
